Supralittoral Rock -

The boulders, cliffs, gullies and ledges rising above high tide and exposed to the splash and spray of sea waves are all encompassed within the definition supralittoral rock.

There are 232 hectares of supralittoral rock in Kent (KHS2003) - equivalent to 30 Wembley National Stadiums.
